From Italy to Florida. A Little Superhero, a Big Adventure.

November 1–15, 2025 · Florida, USA

In November 2025, Osvaldo crossed the Atlantic for a special journey through the United States.

Created by Italian artist and designer Paolo Pastorino, Osvaldo is a sculptural character born from a world where contemporary art, pop culture, and imagination meet.

For this journey, a miniature 9-centimeter sculpture traveled from Italy to Florida, accompanied by a collaborator and photographed in some of the state’s most recognizable locations.

And this was no ordinary Osvaldo.

Dressed in the colors of the American flag, with a star on his head and a superhero-inspired identity, Osvaldo USA was ready to discover America.

First Stop: Miami Beach

Against the vibrant backdrop of Miami Beach, Osvaldo began his American adventure.

The colorful lifeguard towers, the Atlantic Ocean, and the unmistakable atmosphere of South Florida became the setting for a meeting between Italian artistic creativity and American popular culture.

The Journey Continues: Orlando

From Miami, the adventure continued to Orlando, a destination associated with fantasy, storytelling, and entertainment.

Here, Osvaldo explored a world that resonates with his own artistic identity: a universe in which imagination transforms ordinary experiences into extraordinary stories.

Reaching Key West

The journey also reached Key West, where Osvaldo was photographed beside the famous Southernmost Point landmark.

A small Italian sculpture standing before one of Florida’s iconic destinations became a symbolic image of an idea: creativity has no geographical boundaries.

An Italian Sculpture, an International Story

For Paolo Pastorino, Osvaldo represents more than a collectible art object.

Rooted in the Italian ceramic tradition and influenced by contemporary Pop Art and Toy Art, the character connects sculptural design with an evolving visual narrative.

The American Journey is a photographic chapter of this creative universe, documenting how a small artwork can interact with new places and cultures.
